Dr. Hirunnisha Najjar has been in practice for over three years. She is board qualified in Foot Surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. She earned her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine in 2008 from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. She completed her residency in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery in2011 at the Mt. Sinai Hospital of Queens. Dr. Najjar’s undergraduate studies was at Hunter College, CUNY with Bachelor of Arts, Sociology/Chemistry in2004
While attending New York College of Podiatric Medicine, Dr. Najjar was recipient of several scholarships from ACFAOM Timothy Holbrook Memorial, JT Tai Foundation, and NYCPM. She was on the Dean’s List and recipient of the NYCOM Award. At Hunter College, Dr. Najjar was also on the Dean’s List and recipient of the Peter F. Vallone Academic Scholarship, NYC Merit Scholarship Award, Scholarship for Academic Excellence and Scholarship/Grant of the Alumni Association of Hunter College.
Dr. Najjar is also active in the charity community. She has volunteered for the Long Island Marathon, March of Dimes Walkathon, Marcus Garvey Park Health Fair, Pediatric Foot Screenings, and West Point Boot Fit.
Dr. Najjar in collaboration with S. Yager, W. Axman, and E. Rosero was published on Podiatry Today Online in 2010: Correcting Brachymetatarsia of 45 Years Duration with Gradual Callus Distraction.
